About Limericks of Protest
Enjoy the content as you will. We have comments turned off for the simple reason of… this is my hobby, not my job. Fighting trolls is not my idea of fun.
Please share: there is a permalink to each Limerick. The halflife of political humor can be really short, so spread it around while it’s still relevant!
If you wish to use a verse to further the cause, please include LimericksOfProtest.com as author credit. However, if you share without attributing, I’ll get over it. When I see one of my verses appear out of the blue from quarters unexpected, then I shall feel like I’ve made a difference.
The Poet
Many, many years ago, an alum of my high school won a nation-wide limerick contest. The school held their own contest. I may not have won for having the best limerick… I won for shear volume, including limericks about most of the faculty.
Well, limerick writing has been something that I did off and on for years. The concept of Limericks of Protest somewhere around 1990, with the early peak being the national election, lost by Al Gore.
My beloved, Mrs. LoP has goaded me into this current paroxysm of poetry. My friend the web guru challenged me to take it further than Facebook.
We’ll fill in more details as we go along.
Mrs. LOP
Mrs. LOP has designed and maintained a few other websites for her own use and in her volunteer work. She happily helped with this site as she’s been encouraging me to take a more public stance with my limericks.
